A good Leeds United match day starts with a light bag and the right layers. Whether you are heading to Elland Road or meeting friends before kick-off, this checklist keeps the useful things close without packing half the house.
Start with your ticket, phone and travel plan
Check your ticket details before leaving, charge your phone and save the journey information you need. Give yourself time for queues rather than aiming to arrive at the last minute.
Travel light at Elland Road
Leeds United's current guidance says bags must be no larger than A4, and there is no luggage storage at the stadium. Its security guidance gives maximum dimensions of 297mm high, 210mm wide and 210mm deep. Check the official matchday guide before each visit, including the prohibited-items list. Medical exceptions need permission in advance.
Pick a layer you will wear beyond the match
A hoodie is an easy option for the journey and the hours either side of kick-off. Check the forecast and your preferred fit rather than buying only for one afternoon. Our LUFC Midweight Fleece Hoodie starts at £32.99. Read the size guide and selected variant price before ordering.
A small extra for colder days
If you prefer an extra layer around your neck, the Leeds Marching On Together neck gaiter starts at £16.99. It folds away when you do not need it. Choose clothing you feel comfortable wearing for the whole trip.
Keep a reusable bottle for the journey, not an assumed stadium pass
Our All Leeds Aren't We insulated bottle starts at £25.99 and is an option for everyday travel. Do not assume a reusable metal bottle can go into Elland Road: check the club's current rules first and leave anything prohibited at home. A product sold in our store is not a guarantee of admission.
The short match-day checklist
- Ticket and charged phone.
- Journey details and enough time to arrive.
- A suitable layer for the weather.
- A small bag only if you need one, checked against club rules.
- A final look at the official prohibited-items guidance.
